I recently returned to Via Sposito in Old Bridge, NJ, for the first time since taking my family here for New Year’s dinner about four years ago, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. A special shoutout to Anthony, who personally came over to our table and made us feel so welcomed—he’s such an awesome guy! The restaurant was also spotless, and the ambiance really added to the overall experience. It was a great afternoon lunch, and I’ll definitely be back again soon! Maybe this week to try the legendary pizza

Had a great experience for our first time here! They are known for their pizza but everything on the menu sounded delicious. Dolores recommended the grandma pie and typically we are thin crust kind of people, but this pie was delicious. It expected it to be dense and doughy, but it wasn’t. The sauce was amazing- I would go back just for that! The eggplant rolatini and calamari are definite go to for appetizers. This place did not disappoint and would 100% go back again. Plus they are BYOB and there’s a liquor store in the plaza.

I can’t say enough about this gem in Old bridge!! Delicious, fresh, hot amazing entrees! Pizza was excellent, rice balls are crisp and so tasty, Our waitress was wonderful, extremely attentive, very personable and friendly! Makes you feel like family… old school Italian! Atmosphere was casual but very modern vibes. Felt like i was in NYC. My husband and I will be back for sure!

3/1/24 I read about Via Sposito having multiple restaurants serving family style dishes and their Pizza ovens are wood and coal fired so we went to the one in Old Bridge, NJ. Our gracious host Dolores is an Sposito who we had the pleasure to talk with. We started with Zuppa di Mussels, which was delicious and the sauce to dip the mussels in was so sweet yummy. Just look at the pictures before and after. Then my wife ordered the huge Pork Chop with mixed vegetables and potatoes, my wife couldn't finish her meal. I ordered a Margarita Pizza with homemade mozzarella and pecorino romano cheese and fresh basil with extra virgin olive oil. On top I added real sliced sweet sausage, outstanding pizza, will definitely order it again together with outstanding service see the before and after pictures. Well worth the trip.

Deliciousness!!!! From beginning to end with great service accompanied by excellent Italian-American fare. Owners are always present and strive to make sure the customer gets everything and anything. Wide range of options and fresh food, made-to-order, allow for people of all ages and dietary preferences to dine together. Everyone can find something fresh and delicious. This is a sign of a GREAT restaurant who knows their audience. What to try? EVERYTHING!!! BYOB, not pricey and all portions will be large-enough to take home. Lastly, and I LOVED this part, our female server wrapped our food. Yes, that's right! When we asked for containers they weren't just thrown at us (like seems to be the norm almost everywhere in this post-COVID hiding under-the-bed world). This place gets it! If you're from NY/NJ this will be your routine Go-To.

Yummy food, cute place, nice outdoor seating. Free parking lot but spots do fill up on busy nights!

We had an early dinner tonight to celebrate our parents anniversary and birthday. Even though we we used to live locally, we had never eaten here before and chose it from the reviews. It’s definitely a hidden gem of Old Bridge! The staff was super friendly, accommodating and personable. The food was absolutely delicious! We loved the big tomatoes and cans of Esposito red sauce as decor throughout the restaurant too. My personal favorite was the vodka sauce. I’m very picky but it was the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had. The restaurant is in the smaller side and really echoey, but otherwise very lovely. We unfortunately had a big party of some very rude dining guests behind us and that unfortunately killed the atmosphere for us a bit because we had to yell for our elderly parents to be able to hear us, BUT the staff was so apologetic about it and clearly had their hands full with them, and that wasn’t their fault. As soon as this large family of diners left, the atmosphere became a lot cozier. It’s a shame people like have to ruin the experience for everyone around them, but I would highly recommend Via Sposito and we will definitely be returning in the future!

Delicious Italian Food! My brothers made an enthusiastic recommendation. I brought six guests along to give Via Sposoto a try. This unassuming byob storefront restaurant has absolutely fantastic Italian food! The owner's family works there and prepared the food that evening. I had the spaghetti all' Amatriciana. That was one of the best meals I have had all year! The out of town guests with me all commented on their meals with similar praise. For dessert, I had the American cheese cake. Again it was fantastic! The service was friendly and helpful in making meal suggestions. I mentioned that I wished they had buccotini instead of spaghetti. The owner's daughter quickly said that she would take my meal back and replace the spaghetti with buccotini! I politely respond no but thank you so much for the offer. Next time! The following morning, all of the guests praised their meal choices. We all vowed to return when we get together again. They seem to have a healthy take out business The door dash delivery people were picking up takeout orders often. A for the meal and also for the friendly service.
